There are a number of reasons why your card might not be working in a shop. Firstly, check:
- Your Sibstar card has sufficient funds to cover the cost of your purchase
- In the 'Limits' section of the Sibstar app, have you switched on ‘High Street’ and 'Contactless'?
- Are you trying to spend more than the daily or monthly spending limit you have set in the app?
- Have you exceeded your contactless transactions limit? Like all bank cards, it is a legal requirement for every 6th transaction to be made using a PIN. So, if you think this could be the reason your Sibstar card has been declined, please insert your card into the card reader and type in your PIN to complete the transaction. Contactless will then be available again.
