If your LPA was registered in England or Wales on or after 1 September 2019 and you have set up a 'Use your Lasting Power of Attorney' account on the gov.uk website, you will have been given a digital 'access code'. This is 13 characters long and starts with a V. For example, V-AB12-CD34-EFGH. Send us this access code and the full name of the person whose application it is, and we can check your LPA is registered.
If you have not set up an account with the Office of the Public Guardian, you can do it online here.
If your LPA was registered before 1st September 2019 you will not have an access code. We will let you know what we need from your paper LPA during the sign up process.
