Yes you can. Just make sure you have switched ‘Contactless' on in the Sibstar app on the 'Limits' screen.
Every debit card is required to have both contactless and Chip & PIN functionality, but Sibstar allows you to switch these on or off to suit your needs.
Like all financial institutions, we have a legal obligation to request our customers to input their PIN every 6th transaction. This regulation is designed to safeguard our customers against potential fraud risks. The rationale behind this requirement is to mitigate the potential loss in case a card is lost or stolen, as a higher amount of money could be at risk otherwise.
Currently, we do not provide a contactless-only service, but we've received numerous requests for this feature and are actively exploring potential solutions.
